Surfs Up !
Well mine is anyway . After 3 & 1/2 years I've finally admitted defeat in the battle to keep my surf on.....or off-road .
I've had some great times in it & it's lead to me meeting some fine people at events around the country. I've chatted with some good people on this forum so I hope you won't mind if I pop on & see you now & then.
I might get another off road toy , but it won't be a surf ........at least for a while .
Mines up for sale on ebay so feel free to keep an eye on it .

Just typical really....I finally sort out some internet access & my surf gives up the ghost .

I'm sure you'll miss it in the end, but yep course you are welcome to stop on here and join in, I'm getting rid of my Surf too but I ain't going anywhere either - I've moved onto a Landcruiser but I still think the Surf is a top vehicle.

1st of all best of luck with the new car and thanks for the company you were helpful when you were around Geoff.

One thing that I cant figure though is why you started your auction at £100 yet when the surf has reached 8 times that figure the reserve still hasnt been met. I dont get it, why start at an insignificant amount, why not start at the reserve???

Just off to bed .....but the reason I did that is I wanted to know what people would value the car at if it's less than the reserve.
It also gives me the option to contact them if I wanted to lower it.

Surfing will never be up for you! You are a MAIN player on ere so please hang around on the side lines and pop along to events when the mood takes you, I feel sure you will never be short of a ride!

You will always be a HILUXSURF'er with or without a Surf.

Thanks , I have to say I miss it already . It was a bit of a way of life for me ,but it got that I couldn't depend on it anymore . It let me down at a few off-road events due to mechanical failures & that was taking a lot of the fun out of it .

I can't really afford the off-roader that would take the kind of abuse I give it .
It didn't help that I'm not mechanically minded & the various garages I tried all let me down .
