Maybe I'm the only one but I find it really usefull. Actually gives you a good view of exactly where the rear wheel is when reversing into a parking space or round a corner. Got use to this type of thing on my wifes old scorpio - when you put that in reverse the passenger side door mirror used to adjust itself down to do the same thing - bl**y great it was.

    Cheers

I wish I could see my rear wheel in the damn thing, at best I can see the front arch, at worst, the scenery beside me, no matter how i try to adjust it. As I recall my old 2nd gen was similar too.

Ohh to see my rear wheel in it, just for a few minutes!............ you lucky lucky bástard, etc etc

        steve,

The problem in London (forgive me this rant) is that it is chocker block with crap drivers and the rules went out of the window years ago. I've commuted by motorbike here for 15 years now, several no liabiliy accidents (including parking my bike under an artic) mean I have only one rule. I take whichever route is safest for me. Rant over !

I have only Come off my bike TWICE in 18 Years of riding Motorcycles.....

1st one was being knocked off by a Police Car going through a Red Light (blue light on but no siren) on his way to a 999 call

AND as you all know the 2nd time was when the front tyre exploded on me at 70mph

Anyway I have NO intention of doing it again......................... ..

                  Miss my CBR

GREAT Bike, Got the Divi as its reliable (until I come off it )
PLUS it didn't scare the living daylights out of me like the R1 I took for a test ride

BMW "NICE BIKE" think I shall have to get me one of those when I trade the Divi for another bike next year

He he he "ANOTHER post hijacked" LOL

It's for hooking the dog's lead on while you tie your shoelace or light a fag when it's windy.

Oh pants. I ain't got a dog, I don't smoke, and if I did I'd light it before i got out...
Seems I need to get rid of the dog smoking windy mirror. So, if I did, what do I use the two holes in the panel for?

To stick your ice cream cone in while you tie your shoelace.

Of course! simple really, and the second hole to keep the flake safe whilst finishing the cone?

                              Gotcha...

Screen in the cab, so I can see down the side of the truck... Even better than the Ice Cream idea.

I could even point it at the wheel arch for perfect replication!
