you'll have to excuse me i'm very new to the world of surfs (today in fact) but i saw this 3 door with a 4 inch jack up on it and decided that i really want one! are these readily available? what is the model called? where is a good place to look for one? is there anything that i really need check?

What you saw was probably a pre 1989 Mk 1 Surf- actually quite rare I believe.

You probably saw a 2nd gen 3 door, same length as a normal surf but without the rear doors.

There are no LWB or SWB as they are all the same size.
