Mart, use the search facility at the top or look in the FAQ section. You'll find answers to all your question there.

I'm not coming across negative but the best thing to do is like Tallyman says, use the search facility at the top of the screen and you'll be amazed what you'll find
          NO WORRIES!

I wasn't being negative but couldn't spell a that long word begining with ph or f and ending in S can't even get close with word. No offence intended.

              has anyone got a clue?

On a more serious note why the 2.4 and not a 3.0?
                  Would the pennies stretch?

The pennies will stretch no problem, i was more concerned with the running costs, mainly fuel ! But since doing a search , i have noticed that the 3.0 ltr returns 25+ mpg !

Are they a little better than the 2.4 or miles better ?

Saves having to part ex them in now, just sling em on Ebay. Like the phrase seen on here Delbay.

spending this sort of money would go to a dealer and get some form of warranty.

As for mpg, my 2.4 was doing around 21/22 on a good day but that was with a slowly failing head and block.

                          2.4 less efficeint at pulling 2tone than a 3.0ltr.

Hang on a minute if you search this.....

                          spooky.

if you want economy either will do -Depending on what you call ecconomic - it is a 2tonne aerodynamic breezeblock after all. Don't buy the V6 unless you are prepared to gas it (mine does about 12 mpg)
                            NO WORRIES!
