  • What can I do??

    to entertain myself??

I'm sitting here at Newark airport waiting to fly home and my flight is delayed 4 hours everyone back home is in bed so there is noone to talk to.

I've eaten, drunk a bit, read a bit and now I"M BORED!!!!!

There isn't much to do at Newark is there, mind you plenty of coffee bars. Not much seating area either. Also for the next time I go there, I'm glad I'm giving up smoking, last time I was there it was very cold and standing outside the terminal building for a smoke isn't fun.

        Cheers

Well I just got home.... and now I've got to try and keep awake until bed time so that I sleep tonight and dont get jet lagged!!! I managed to doze on the plane (it had those nice new flat beds) but I can never sleep.

The weather in NY next week is forcast to be ok - cold still (it was about -14 most days) but no more snow is currently forecast.

@Lucky - It is a bit bleak (I actually prefer flying from JFK) but fortunately I dont smoke
Also when work flys us we have the option of using a lounge so I did have free food and internet to amuse myself with.

S.... now let me think - ermmmm how about SNOW!!!

I actually prefer Newark to JFK because there are very few queues and the drive out of the city is easier than to JFK - always seem to get stuck on the parkway going out to JFK. Plus I always drive in New York because the local cab drivers are complete Psychos and once you get down the Lincoln Tunnel it's an easy drive to Newark - plus my dad lived just outside of Newark so I know the way. The problem with the lounges at Newark is that they are all non smoking so us smokers still have to go outside even though I have a lounge cad.

                Anyway welcome back.

                Cheers

Hehe my driver last night said the traffic would be gone as soon as we were through the tunnel, but there was an accident and it took nearly 2 hours from the hotel on 57th and 6th to the airport!!! The lounge is better at JFK which is my only reason for choosing it, but last night I went for the flight with the most comfy seats, and the old plane was on the JFK route. LOLOL

Anyway now I'm home and have to play with all my goodies... I love this exchange rate thingy..
