Having read Dabigman's woes regarding his insurance quote and his decision to sell his truck based on some robbing Barstewards greed I am posting this link in the hope that people can use it to get a better result.

I was quote £376.96 for Comprehensive cover by NORWICH UNION for my 4runner
(34 years Full NCB (Garaged )
1 claim (car written off - not blameworthy - she pulled out and trashed my car!! )
BUT when I went onto the above link I got that down to £277.99 with ESURE (No comments about old farts please!!)
And before anybody asks the check list will allow you put select Hilux Surf from the drop down list

Check it out - it might save you some money

no it wont they dont do the surf only the hilux or 4runner not the surf the best place i found was privilage no problems with it being an import and i think that most places are quoting on the hilux truck which would give a cheap rate bet might cause problems if you need to claim.

they do list the surf but only in manual

it's under Hilux, then choose surf off the other menu

oh ok i will have another look but it kept saying that could not match the detials

ESURE will not insure a Surf.
I was with them before I bought the Surf and when i rang to swap the insurance over they would'nt do it.
Ended up with Hayden Wellbeck but a day later Footman James sent a quote £100 cheaper. Doh...
