The human life figures are too big to comprehend, it puts our trivialities in the ha'penny place. Why not email Koi with the amount you donated, your name need not accompany the mail and he wont look it up (why would he bother). The total figure donated from this site might make its existence real in a whole new way.

Like a lot of people, I have made a contribution to the appeals, but I wish there was some way I/we could be of more practical help. I keep wondering if they could use my communications/radio skills. They reckon there are many hundreds of small communities that they have not been able to contact.

There must be many people with expertise in sanitation, medicine, transport, logistics - the list is endless- who feel they could make a difference with the right direction.

Lets just hope that putting our hands in our pockets is going to be enough.

yep I saw that link on the BritishRedCross website but didnt use that particular one coz it didnt contain the redcross name. However the bluepeter.redcross.org.uk link is directed to from the same official British Red Cross site

Please feel free to mail me (Emails only) and i will keep a runnning total of what has been donated. I will not disclose your contributions or names to any one else without your permission. As Jim says it would be good to just have a tally to see we are doing our bit.
Or if it suits people to do so, pay pal money to the forum address and I could send it as one lump sum from this forum, just a suggestion what ever you wish to do.
