  • Should i buy my old car back

After having my old surf written off by a drunk driver i have just got off the phone with the insurance company. They want me to pay £1600 to get the car back for spares. Does anyone know if this would be worth it?????
The damage is all done to the rear off side so the engine still runs and everything inside works .
I need to know as soon as possible please.

    cheers

    Mike

    Course it is

time this lot finished won't be nothing left.

Recent engine sourcing exercise going rate for engine alone £1400. assuming low mileage.

    Let it live on...

if you got somewhere to store it while it is being broken then you'd prob get your money back from buyers on this site alone.

i am looking for grey centre box/cubby lid (rear heater version if theres a difference.) mail me with a price if you decide to go for it and when you a chance to dismember it. also if philip doesn't need it as he asked first, the drivers interior door handle (the vinyl has split on mine) also in grey.

Hi Mike l am not being funny but to make it worth breaking you would need it back for around a grand, why dont you shop around and get it fixed l have seen worse fixed. But thats my opinion.

The chassis is actually twisted and it will need a complete new shell which the insurance company said they couldnt get.

I think im gonna pass on it this time

                        cheers for all the advice.
