got to decide which vehicle to use over xmas holiday on trip over to inverness and aviemore, with snow on the cards
will it be the 4runner or the Subaru forester ..?
Advantage of forester is its permanent Awd so removed the 2wd or 4wd descision, it has all-season tyres, so better on slushy roads, where it gets boarderline whether or not you can have the 4runner in 4wd or not.....
but the 4runner has mud tyres, which might be better if the snow gets deep, which it might well be at the cottage in cairngorms, and the fact that when in 4wd is eqv to a centre diff lock it might be better,
thing it was a hassle in the 4runner driving around the last few days on snow roads, as its useless in 2wd on slopes in the snow. and sometimes one side and of road was slush/ice and one side clear
but it was great when the road was compeltely covered in the white stuff,
better keep an eye on the forecasts
it would be much easier if just one of the cars was 4wd, then no descision to make!!
