Mike , sorry but I still say its a goner . It can be fixed but it would exceed the value of the vehicle . You would not be happy driving that again , you would always be thinking about the repairs and is the vehicle the same as before .

Sorry to see your Surf in such a state- but the pictures reveal something intersting to other Surfers- the chrome bumper have started to rust from the inside out.

Reminder to everyone who hasn't done this already- drop the bumpers off, rust treat, then paint and/or Waxoyle them. Otherwise in a year or three of British Salted Roads we'll all have bumpers like Swiss cheese......

Mine dont have time to go rusty - i just dent them every year and have to buy new ones

Mike - real shame about the truck... she loos like she was a beauty - worth trying to get her for salvage though!

tell em to poke the micra! the insurance is supposed to leave you no better and no worse off than before the accident, starting from the accident. tell them to find you a car of a similar type. you cant be too fussy, so you might get stuck with a range rover or disco3, but a micra is taking the mick, mick. tell em about all the stuff you need to move...and how much damage that will do to their micra...
                    it's in me shed, mate.

I can see why you're gutted mate, thats a nice Surf. I have the use of the company vehicle any time, If only you were local, you could use mine, as it sits on the drive all week and has the occasional outing to the shops on the weekend. Hope you get sorted soon.
