just got back after 60 min run to gloucester and back about half mile from home the temp gauge hits the red and loads of steam from the overflow bottle it had to go sooner or later. anyone know how much STEVO charges for a new head?

Stevo quoted £799 inc VAT for complete head/gasgets/cam.belt etc.
And £995 + VAT fitted.
As my head went last Sunday BUT dont quote me on these as they
might have changed since.

I thought that when mine went, Honestly though it will be money well spent.
I'd get another 2.4 as it is a good motor even better with a new head.
I'd have lost well over £3000 if i'd have sold it as it was. She's better now & im more than happy with the result.

STEVO is true to his word. He wont rip you off, he wont fill you with bull.
& will help you every step of the way if you require.
Steve will check all components of your engine before fitting a new head & he will advise of any other faults found e.g worn bores, corrosion at top of bores etc. He recommends fitting a new water pump he will check & adjust the viscous fan. Most garages dont have a clue. STEVE is an engineer in his own right. I & many other Forum Members that have used his services will back this up.

Same as.In the state its in now offered £500 with the head fitted
it's worth £3500 ish no contest. At least I know the truck
inside out it's great just for the head now it will be sorted
it will be back to normal.
Looked at an upgrade to a newer truck but I would rather pay
for the head than spend out £9/10000 to start all over with
a newer one.Horses and courses etc.
If you can get it Stevo all the better,just to far from me.

WELL since my overheating i have topped the water back up only took about a pint & half ive had the motor running for about 45 mins and it does not seem to want to overheat again front and back heaters are now hot again they were cold when it happened i removed the cap off the housing when it had heated up and no back pressure has the head gone or not or was it just a warning that its about to go????
