Perhaps some good natured soul with a bit of technical ability will take pity and tell us how to do it!

First of all, check which formats are supported on this forum, then open your excel document, select save as,if any formats on the drop down list match supported formats, select one,ok,done.

Only problem with the above is that Most of the Excel files use Macros to work and saving as anything else BUT excel voids the Macros and the file will not work?
Only other way to do it is save as a Zip file and upload that, BUT if you do have any nasty on your PC there is a Remote (& & I stress remote) chance that a Nasty could be up-loaded and when you open the Zip file it will also unleash the Nasty onto your PC.
I know its happened to me

Can't macros be disabled?I use Lotus 123,you can "save as" a text(TXT)file from that, surely excel should allow the same?

                Yes they can Rob.

BUT most of the Excel files I have got (that are funny or a Quiz) use Macros to run the file, if they are disabled then the file will not work and your left with a page that does nothing?

Hence, if you save a Macro Enabled Excel file in anything BUT Excel it does not work

Pain in but or what as I have some VERY VERY funny excel files that would have you rolling around............
