ill go for the traditional 31/10.5's then, just read a few posts on us sites saying the 12.5 width was the main issue and a 10.5 33 would just fit

With the 10.5 width, it's a case of suck-it-and-see. You may get tyre rub on full lock you might not.
Worse case senario is the front bumper extensions might need a trim with a knife or removed completely, the edge of the wheelarch corner near the mudflap might need a bash with a hammer and the torsion bars may need a few turns on the adjusters to stiffen them rather than raise the front of the truck.
