Well. I ditched my useless Generals for a set of Kumho KL71's. They don't seem to make them in 265/70/R16 so I put on 265/75/R16's. No problems fitting. Grip is incredible off road. On road they are a little whiney but very bearable (you can pretend you have a supercharger!). Cornering not great (body roll) being 75 aspect ratio instead of 70 so you have to have manners in the bends, but look very bad ass! (chunky as fook!). Now I want a 6" suspension lift....
Tyres were delivered by Camskill. Including carriage was still cheaper than buying here in Ireland. The Irish are greedy b*stards...
Overall I'm very happy with these tyres. The guy who fitted them tells me that 285's will also fit no problem in the arches if anyone is thinking of going wider on a gen 3.
