  • Tyres needed please

Hi I will need some tyres for the end of this months
as the MOT is due. I have been quoted various astronomical prices
    I have got bog standard 265 / 70 / 15.
I have looked at various threads on here at people buying them
over the phone and having them delivered. This is great and cheap
and there seems to be more choice. If you do that, how do you get
them onto your existing wheels. Properly fitted, inflated and balanced?
The choice at local places is not very big and gets costly. Which ones are best? I don't hardly go off road but do do motorway miles.
I live in Chalfont St Peter and have phoned the usual tyre places in slough
and Wycombe. Can travel to Watford, Hemel. Last year I was offered 4 at a place in Little Chalfont where theres a guy who off roads a lot, but they were a slightly different size.
I seem to remember that they were a bigger size but wouldn't rub.
He said that they would have fitted but because they were a different size
I would have all four done.
The ones I have got on just now are FULDA TRAMP which seem ok
    It came with BFG's.
    cheers people martin

    PS working on tight budget.

Try http://www.gearedtogo.co.uk/, I got 4 Colway M/T's for £204 delivered and got a local tyre shop to fit and balance them for £5 per corner. They are re-moulds, but I find them ten times better than the Bridgestone Dueller H/T's I had on before.
