Wanted, underbody wheel carrier kit for Gen 3 Surf, KZN185

Hi all,

I'm trying to find a supplier for a kit which would allow me to re-locate the spare wheel from the rear tailgate to under the floor of the boot.

I know this was possible on earlier surfs, but does anyone know where I can buy one for the Gen 3 ?

i have a 97 surf which has wheel underneath but iam interested in the back mounted.how difficult is the changeover if its easy might be interested in swap.

p.s totally useless mechanical dept.

Did anyone find any info on this? I have the tailgate tyre but am def. feeling the under-mounted one like I had on my old surf.

think the 3rd gens will be the same as 2nd gens but from what they were saying there is alot of work involved in in the swap over like having to reinforce the rear pillar to take the spare wheel carrier and having to move the reversing lights etc
but if you do a search you should find some good info about it all
