Yes you can drive it in 4wd (Button pressed on the transfer lever) with the rear prop removed no problem. Just don't drive it like you stole it!

So in 4wd without the rear prop it won't screw the front diff/transfer box/gearbox ? Just sounding out because I would have a 150/200 mile drive? If of course the diff from my 2.4 could be swapped over.. Decisions decisions 😊

The diff can be swapped over, but you need to make sure the codes match otherwise you will have the wrong ratio

Need to swap both front and rear diff to have a matched pair as the 2.4 will be a different ratio.
