Now the car has had some time to settle in to her new home I'll do the dealer some justice !!

The guys here are straight as they come, we've had two imports off them now. You tell them what you want and they'll deal. Any probs afterwards, we just toddle back and they sort it out on the spot or book us into their local workshop.

They always have a good stock of import vehicles of various sorts - which means when you agree a deal you can do a bit of mix and matching between cars... those mats, these bullbars, wheels etc.

We bought this one before it was SVA'd or even washed properly !! They were given a week to get it sorted - which they did - and even threw in a service, mats, 6 months tax and half a tank of diesel.

The workshop service is also very good, as it is an independant firm (Homan Tyres Ltd) who do ALL Marston's work. They too have been very honest, helpful and reliable and obviously know imports (and their parts suppliers) inside out and backwards. Taken to the extreme, they'll even find second hand / recon parts if you're not feeling so flush !!!

There you go..... my bit said

I'd second that. My little baby came from Marstons and at the time there was a choice of three. No high pressure sales - plenty of time to decide and test drive - it was a case of "here's the keys, off you go". The truck was serviced (by Homans) before I picked it up and I would agree with Jim that they did a good job - even put a little gearbox thingy on the speedo cable so it all reads proper. They even gave me a good deal on my old car (even though they didn't really want it). Recommended

Must be luck of the draw then , as I have had a less than satisfactory service from them. I think there vehicles are over priced, and they buy imports with defects that they then fix in the workshop ( sometimes )

Tried to sell me a Honda Prelude that had obviosly been stolen at some point, then a year later wouldn't offer me £2G for my Prelude when he had an identical one for £4G+ whilst trying to buy a surf on a J plate for £6G+ .

Prehaps he just doesn't like me !
