  • garage in NW London for mot and service?

I need an mot and service in NW London.

Can anyone recommend a garage. There is a toyota dealer in Hendon,

would you recommend a dealer or an independent garage?

Tried FAQ and search but just couldn't find this info - new to this!

my mechanic is in the NE (edmonton way) and has always done all my familly and friends cars including now my Surf (MOT and full service so far and fitting new BLUE shock boots-looking good!).

If you like call ROB (RS Motors) on 0208 345 7170. Tell him Tim with the Surf recommended you

        garage

You can try swift Automotive in Abbots Langley. I havent used them yet but a pal of mine swears by them, one of theor mechanics was a Surf owner and knows his stuff. They are located at 34 Marlin Sq.

I ended up going to JEM which is local to me in Hendon. They specialise in Jap cars and are Japanese owned I think. Possibly pricier but the service was good and they got parts quickly.

            Another one

ANG in Park Royal NW10 are really good. They look after my Surf and i recommended them to another forum member who wanted his car raised, and he was pleased. I go in some times and ask for a service and he tells me to go away as it isn't time yet. Also needed new starter and he sent me to electricians he gets them from as it would be cheaper for me.
            Pretty honest i think.
Ask for Andreas and mention Philip with Surf.
            Still Searching,

I would second them Philip, they were very good when I went to them to get the braided brake lines done... honest to a fault.

I have another Andy who does all the major stuff for me, and we get the MOT's done locally (Sudbury).

Well I am back from Austria now. Driving the Surf in the snow was great fun. It got to -28 one day and the radiator cracked - not enough antifreeze even though the garage said there was. 500 euro for a new one to be fitted.

Otherwise she never let me down!

Same question, where is a good place to have a service done.
                JEM seem pretty pricey.
What is the address of ANG? Thanks.

Did you mention the Forum to Adrian or Gary when you had the work done at JEM as you are entitled to an agreed discount from them thanks to Koi's persuasive dealing .

Or take a trip to visit 4x4toys in Basingstoke .... very reasonably priced that TonyN is and very knowledgeable about surfs... not to mention you get the excuse to dirve the car down the motorway and have a nose at his "projects"
