Gen 3 intercooler version

Finally found the surfs wanted bit.
I'm looking for a gen 3 SSR G surf with an intercooler. I don't know how much difference it will make, Better economy or more performance. Certainly Stormforce is pleased with his so while I don't have one at the moment I may as well aim high.
Running a subaru at the moment but want a change. Drove a mates truck in Scotland an decided to take the plunge.
I'm in lancashire but would travel. Whats out there?

Theres a nice looking one on ebay, in Dumfries, which is not too far from Lancashire. somebody posted a link to it in another thread, but you,ll find it easily enough if you look on the bay.

Legendarygamesmaster. Here I am giving you a clear run, yet the scottish one on ebay still has no bids. What do you think? I think he saw the price of the really expensive one and pitched his price high. If you have a go let us know.

Jeffo, I see you are in Lancashire. Theres a guy on ebay ( Kenadam) who seems to have a collction of several Surfs for sale at not unreasonble prices and all looking pretty good. Hes in Bolton. It might be worth a visit for you as you cant be that far away from him.

Yes you're right with what you say, indeed only a week ago I went to see him and rang first but when I got there and I'm sure I was in the right place cos there was a gen 3 in the mill yard. He wasn't to be found so I went home again. My Subaru goes Tuesday then I shall be looking for my next wheels. can't expect to have the same luck as Stormforce and drop on the right machine and year but if I'm patient something will come up. The one on ebay, the description says there are bullbars and a rubber protective mat in the boot. No bars and a bit of carpet in the boot, what else won't be right.

Finally got one today. 420 mile round trip but worth the effort. 97 SSRG. Blue over silver, intercooled. Jeffo.

No. I think its called pearlescent silver, but its that very light metallic beige kinda colour.

Cheers chaps. I'll try to do some pics soon, been busy playing with it. Driving like a pussy (60-65), didn't wanna leave the the wife to navigate her own way home, It returned 34.8mpg!. good eh. My previous Subaru Forester could never equal that. When refuelling today I've chucked in some 2 stroke to see how that goes. Will try to update my profile too.
