I have an intercooled 3rd gen in dark blue, P reg and is genuinely in v.good condition, hardly a mark on it externally. Internally the drivers seat needs re-foaming. It has a 2'' lift kit fitted and runs superbly. I am selling for £4000 if your interested I will supply photos.
I'd be interested in seeing more. Supply photos to [j j j a t pgen.com without the spaces]
For £4K, hell mines for sale...
1997 Automatic
Blue over Silver
2" Suspension lift
NEW General Grabber All Terrain tyres
DVD/ CD/MP3/ Touch screen In Car Entertainment system with 2 screens (front and back)
superb motor
Good Bits I guess you've listed, what needs doing (paint, head, refurb alloys, tyres, leaks, rust spots)?
Cheers
Jimbo
OK
Im probably gonna get a kicking for this
I was kidding.
£4,000 is WAY too much to be paying for a 3rd gen Surf.
Mine, which was mentioned above, which BTW has no dings, rust, leaks, etc. and is in perfect condition, A++++ condition cost me £2200 last autumn.
I'm not selling it, and yes it was rather cheap, but a good example, actually an excellent example should cost NO more than £2500 -£3000.
The only exception is if its intercooled. Then a bit more.

I agree, £4000 is what I would pay for something that had been stuck in a time warp and was immaculate mechancally, electrically and cosmetically, and had a supermodel chauffeuse But since coming back to look for 3G 3.0, I've not seen any in the £2500 -£3000 range.
The decent ones on Autotrader are spacecake money and there's just one on ebay, that's scruffy, for 4500. I'm not bothered about the intercooler. But they seem to be like the proverbial rocking horse droppings at the moment.
I guess I just need to hang out here a bit longer for a decent example to come up - I can wait (sh**, I've waited 3 years already)... But I do want shut of this Saab.
