3.0 surf wanted

preferably blue or black, must be in good condition inside and out with an MOT, although it will be my toy it will also have to be a family holiday car so looking for a clean standardish car (I know you guys don't really do clean but you know what I mean), I'm located in Stevenage Herts, so somewhere down this end of the country would help. I have a budget of approx £2k maybe a little more depending on car.
maybe someone could tell me what car I should aim for with this sort of budget? good condition 2nd gen, poor 3rd?

didnt leave sellers house til 15.30, so probably wasnt us and my wife drove the surf home as I hadnt sorted ins out.
