That would be the steering idler, available from roughtrax http://www.toyotahilux.com/?doc=16&cid=157&vid=513 or milners http://www.milneroffroad.com/LN130.htm#strg and probably a fraction of the cost of buying from toyota. I fitted a roughtrax one last year.

Well at least they are available elsewhere thanks for the link,
Toyota want 110 quid so its still cheaper-but not that much .
(not wanting to appear rude sorry if it comes across that way)

perhaps bits on these, are a quite a bit more than I was expecting, I had a Hilux for a good while previously which seldom needed attention
just surprising money
