Wanted 3rd gen surf?

Hi All,
I may be in the market for a 3rd generation Surf in next week or so i hope sorry but my knowledge on the later ones is very minimal. I am after a 3lt auto with all the extras ie cruise recaros towbar immobiliser etc etc not much eh? I will have about £6k to spend what sort of money will i pick a 3rd gen for or am i dreaming i would preffer the gold colour or black or whatever really they all look the poodles plums whatever colour . Also i am in Brum so the nearer the better for me sorry for being so specific but it saves all the messing about please get in touch WHY

Cruise Control & Towbar might be a problem as they dont generally come with them unless previous owner has had them fitted. So dont be too PICKY.

Forget the cruise and well the towbar i can get at a later date i suppose but i do like the look of the 3rd gen models so that is what i am aiming for really so come all what surfs have got for sale

After having an accident in our cherised 96 3rd gen the insurance company wrote it off, so its gone to surf heaven! That left us with a dilema would we get one for the money the insurance company tried to give us ? (thats an on going battle thats still not resolved) Anyhow after much searching we managed to find a 96 ssr-g intercooled surf, with all the bells and whistles for bang on £6k. Good luck

If you're still in the market for a 3rd gen Surf, near B'ham, I'm selling mine and I live Gloucestershire, so only an hour away.

It's metallic green over silver, 1996/ N plate, 3.0 tdi, auto, all the extras (no tow bar or cruise though), excellent condition.

Dont rush in and buy the 1st thing you see stick out for what you want or you will not be happy. There are quite afew 3rd gens with cruise control they are getting very commen now so bide your time. l imported one about 4years ago for my wife the only thing l have spent on it is getting the bottom half resprayed silver, its the vehicle l have in my avatior.
