    Hi all,
I heard there is a place in liverpool near the port, where you can buy freshly imported toyota surf by auction - at reasonable price - can anyone advice?

    thanx.

Yes it's Liverpool Port Auctions, do a search on Google.
You have to register and prove you are a trader though before you can bid.
Then you have to SVA and register the vehicle once you have converted it to UK spec.
In the long run it may cost you as much as buying one already done.

I've been to several of these so called fantastic auctions & the average price of a 96/97 3rd gen is around £5500 - £6000 by the time you've SVA'd MOT'd & registered you've spent more than you could buy one for.

        Same with the earlier models!!

Thanks for the feedback guys, useful hint for me and many readers.

I believe auctions are not the cheapest way in most cases.
Still someone had a deal for 3TD 94-5 for under 3k, in total.
True? Anyone else would say that?

Again, thanx for the offers, but I rather don't change car as I
need to travel for now; I 'll wait a bit.
              I saw a few SURF tho, only 2 (priced £. 2.3 - 2.8 private
not from dealers) where in excellent mecchanical
              conditions and mileage, 2&3L. td 93 - 94.

So by the summer I ll try to find a 3td 94 -95, I will expect
              a price below £.3000.

Drove past Belle Vue auctions late on saturday night. There was a transporter full of Surfs in the compound.
