Rear diff urgently needed :( & advice please

Hi all,

The news back from the mechanic is that my rear diff is shot. Plenty of metal filings and bits came out in the fluid, the rear also locked tight on the, this afternoon

So, im in urgent need of a replacement and advice.

Mine has a 4.100, 4 pinion Limited slip diff on the rear. Anyone have a replacement or know who i can ring to get one?

I know LSD axles are rare, so could i just remove the LSD & put in a 4:100 non LSD? Would it fit the casing and half shafts etc?

Or would swap to 4.3 front and back if you have both?

Rear Diff

If you buy one from a used car make sure the engine & transmission are identical to yours.

I had my diff rebuilt at a local garage in Halifax

i have a matched front and rear axle and diff from a gen 2 in the garage, from memory the gears set is 4.58 if any use
