Alternator - LN130 2.4, Oval Plug

Hi all

As the title suggests, I am after an alternator for my LN130 2.4TD - ideally one of the oval plugged variety.

I have been advised that my current alternator is actually ok but the internal voltage regulator is intermittently faulty which, seemingly at random, sends the voltmeter on the dash shooting way over the 18v mark and promptly cooks the batteries.

I have been further advised that replacing the alternator is far less griefy than attempting to fix / replace the regulator?

You could try googling alternator repair.

I had the alternator man repair one for me think it was about £50
Seemed pretty reasonable.
