There is a wooden steering wheel for sale on eBay at the moment. I cant remember the item number, but just go to www.ebay.co.uk and type in Toyota Surf and there it is. Hope this is of some use.

i have a wooden wheel!!
i hate it so i took it off as luckily for me, the original came in the boot. the wooden one now rests, potentially for ever, in my loft.
if you have had no luck on ebay ill watch this post. i notice you live in cornwall. i go to plymouth regularly so if your a saltash resident then thats easier still.
