Starter motor KZN130 quickly please!!!

Hello. I'm desperate to replace the starter motor on my 3 litre 2nd gen 1994 surf. Every day its off the road I'm not working. Anyone got anything?

Are you sure you need a new starter motor? Its probably just the contacts.( common fault , due to wear and tear ) Available from Roughtrax or even ebay and an easy fix, especially as you need to remove the motor anyway and a cheap fix.

Not sure that's the problem because if you give the starter a sharp tap with the key turned, it fires up fine. It's sticking. When you turn the key you can hear the solenoid clunking in. Give it a whack and the engine starrts. Plus I'm crap with mechanics and don't have tools for stripping and rebuilding it, even less to remove it. So i thought the best thing was to buy a used one and pay my 30 quid an hour mechanic to swap it over. What do you reckon?

To me that sounds just like starter motor contacts. A job which will take only 30 minutes extra in addition to the time taken for remove and reinstall.
