I had to replace one on my old 2nd gen and picked one up from Halfords. It had to light up apparently when on as its an mot requiement.

I want to use it to wire in my spots so the light is not important. I just want a fog lamp switch so it will fit in the blanked off hole in the dash and look standard

I have some I took off of a surf today. I don't think any of them say fog light. can you use any switch that will fit the hole
let me know

I would think that I could use either the fog light, hazard lights, heated rear screen, any switch that is a permanent on/off switch and not an intermitent switch such as any of the window switches.

How does £8 sound? If you have a fog light switch then that would be preferable but failing that the heated rear screen will do fine.

Just got these for the heated seats in my 3rd gen... They look a good fit for the blanks and come with the likkle draw-rings and everyfin you can even pick the colour of the plastic light cover.

Sorry mate. I bought the switches from ebay as suggested. The switch housing fits in the hole but that part at the top where the symbol fits sticks up quite a bit. Also the rockers are not very secure so be careful on that.
