  • WANTED: Genuine Chrome Rust Free Bumper?

Obviously new these are very expensive...but I see them going for low prices.

    Thought I'd ask

Currently I have the after-market chrome bumper and it's showing rust (along the top edges where it meets the grill and wing edges) which needs constant cleaning.

Maybe you're sadistic and planning on painting yours? Then what about a swap? Paint an after-market one and give me the rust-free genuine one

    Anyway...please let me know.

    Thanks.

I'm pretty certain there is no such thing as a 20 year old rust free chrome bumper.

My old 2.4 I fitted an aftermarket one from milners. I cleaned the inside properly and gave 3 coats of etch primer followed by loads of waxoil. 4 years later when I scrapped it the bumper was still like new.

    Maybe I was lucky.

But the thread is not about 20 year old rust-free bumpers.

      Cool story, nonetheless.
