2nd gen tailgate

Hi All
Does anyone have a 2nd gen tailgate complete? my bottom window gear runners have finally given up the ghost and the motor is rather sus, so I figured it could be easier to change the whole tailgate if I am lucky enough to find one especially if it is dark blue.
Or it is looking like I might have to fabricate all the channels and get a new motor and that could be a bugger.
Can anyone help please?
I could also do with some hints to get the tailgate open, (glass up, no worky motor!)

Hi fatfires,

I had a similar issue and in the end I took the back panel off the inside and using a bar pulled down on one of the scissor arms only about 2 inches so that the door would open.

May not be the right way but seem's to work for me
