  • @stormforce and all the breakers out there

My brothers surf has developed a vibration and it seems like it is the rear most uj on the rear prop.

has anyone got a good rear prop for sale ? the only problem is his surf is a manual ln130.

    cheers John

Surfs like Landys - you have to put quality on or else it dies quick.

Buying cheap as cheaps unknown or no brand parts is a short term economy.

Hi - Changing the back UJ on the prop is pretty easy. I did mine on a cold cold day in the street in about 45 minutes. Main difficulty was getting the circlips out to separate the 'star' from the flange coupling. I spent 10 minutes trying to thump the old joint apart before I realised that the circlips were holding it all together. They are deeply recessed and almost impossible to see unless you know to look very carefully.....km
                Ahhh....skinned knuckles and heavy hammers...

                    cheers all

put new uj in rear of rear prop, not to hard but had difficulty getting old one off.

vibration was tracked down to front nearside inner lower brake piston seizure, took a 3 foot pry bar to force it back into the caliper all good now
                    thanks
