Having an issue with my Auto changes

Read on here that the ECU could be an issue, and could be causing the not willing to change gear.

So I guess I will try one of these first if I can get one, before i go changing out the box, which I dont think it requires as there is no noise from it etc,

Also where is it and how easy to fit?

So if you have one give me a shout and I will purchase it!

    Cheers

before you change the ECU have you reset it - it's dead easy just disconnect the battery (both if yours has 2) and leave them for about 1/2 hour.

re-connect and off for a drive - might sort it as the ECU re-learns it's parameters - takes about 15 miles

worth a go and costs nothing - if no go, there's normally plenty of chaps on here breaking trucks, you might be lucky there

    best of luck

            Doh

            Well, No use this morning.......

Same again, stays in first gear!!

The glimmer of hope is that it would appear to be the ECU.........

Now where is it located and how easy is it to change out?

            Thanks again
