You can get a motor off ebay for about 40 quid which should last a good few years.......is it really worth the trouble trying to find a shortcut???

It's not as if were talking a few hundred ££££'s.
If at first you don't succeed.........give up.

So you're saying that because the Lexus is broken, the window motors will be rubbish? How many Surf rear window motors have you changed?
A Lexus window motor placed next to a Surf rear window motor of the same age, will look and perform like brand new.

Because you obviously didn't read ALL of post #5, all Toyota window motors from the nineties will fit/work in a Surf.

problem with buying second hand parts off ebay is you dont know if its working so its always a gamble - been stung a coupel of times before..

I wasnt looking for a shortcut at all - more a longer in depth approach, my original thought was maybe there is someone out there that could make new ones for a group purchases etc but guessing with the answers its not pheasable nor anyone would be interested

I was just asking a question - sorry for being a newbie and asking..

All you had to say was, dont worry about it, most lexus motors are pretty decent so you shouldnt have an issue there

I'll get my coat and trundle off to ebay and search one out - unless you still have any for sale that work fine?
