  • WTD: KZN185 Blower Resistor Pack

    Hi,

My fan only seems to work on full blast now, so I guess the resistor pack is shot

Does anyone have one for sale, or know of an alternative from another Toyota that can be used?

    Cheers

    Jon

    Hi

Mine was like that...trying to trace a faul with the air con I took out the thermister temperature sensor under the steeing wheel and cleaned out all the dust, now on auto it adjusts the fan speed to the temperature just like it should

Thanks for the reply. On anything but full blast it's off - even on the manual settings I cleaned the sensor out a while back as I had all the dash apart to fix the rev counter so I don't think it's that

Mine does the same thing on my 130. Let me know how you get on.

I think someone said in a older thread that a Toyota Avensis heater moter is the same as a 3rd gen Surf.

Found the post about the Avensis fan - good find

Is the resistor pack built into the fan unit, or further back up the wire somewhere? From my quick look in my lunchbreak the connector is somewhere up behind the dash - couldn't see what was where
