  • 4x alloys and tyres for Gen 3.

As the title says, i am after 4x alloys and tyres for a Gen 3 Hi-Lux Suft as my 35" are a pain in the Ar5e at MOT time.

    Give Stormforce a shout

He's just swapped out his wheels on the 3rd gen, may have the old ones lying around

the original 3rd gen wheels i swapped over have to stay on the 2nd gen as i haven't any spare wheels to go back on it.The truck is taxed and mot'd and i will be doing a engine swap this week to put the truck up for sale

Hi Bibbs. What are the tyres like that you do have? I could be interested. Did you have a price in mind? Whats tyres are on the wheels with tyres?

If things dont work with Bibbs
I've got a set of muds (2 different makes) on 4x 3rd gen original alloys that aren't in the best condition but could be cleaned up.

You could collect or arrange courier

Hello again (i met you in North Wales in Nov last year, i had the white 4Runner back then, which i miss badly).
I am really desperate for anything standard size really, whether begged borrowed, but not stolen. I am not bothered what they look like, as long as they have 4 MOT'able tyres with them. Are you looking to sell or lend?
                    Thanks

Yea, I remember. How you doing?
                      OK
The tyres are the ones I picked up in Wales that day on my old 3rd gen alloys, I only wanted the wheels. They are however 265/75/16s, so am doubtful that they would fit without rubbing if you dont have any kind of lift. As far as lending or buying, its up to you, but seems a long way to go to borrow a set of wheels. I'm only after 100 squid for em'.

My truck has 4" of body lift as well as suspension lift, so i think they should fit on. Does that sound about right? Do they fit on your Gen 3 ok?
Are the tyres MOT'able? At that price, i will happily buy them from you and collect/pay in person, possibly early next week if it suits you?
                        Thanks again

If they are the wheels/tyres i took up to wales last year then they are good one's and shouldn't have any issues at MOT

yea, 4" lift is fine, plenty of room.
                            They're full of tread, 5mm +
but I'll double check tomorrow and tell you what makes they are as well , unless Apache remembers before then.

Yes they are the same tyres Andy.

They suit a lift better than mine actually as theyre bigger than mine, and yes they fit mine fine as I ran them for about a week whilst I was swapping wheels.

If you have a spare 16" wheel with any kind of tyre on it,(that fits a Surf) bring that down and you can have the 5th one as well with a crappy street tyre on it that I use as a spare. My spare sits under a cover so you cant see it anyway.

I have no spare, so keep hold of the one you have. Sadly i am away this weekend in Yorkshire at a wedding, but i may be able to travel to you on the B/hol monday or tuesday if that is good with yourself?
Thanks again for helping me out of a bother here.
