  • Brake pipe for 97 3L KZN185.. desperate now.

    Hi,

Earlier today I managed to twist & split the front brake pipe when the front drivers side caliper slipped out of my hand while changing discs & pads.

So, has anyone got any idea where I can get hold of a replacement "solid" brake pipe ... the one that goes drivers side from caliper to mounting bracket?

I have tried fishing about online, all my local (Swindon, Wilts) car factors, etc & online "find a part" sites, but nothing doing so I am desperate now.

    Cheers,

    Steve

WHY not use the old ends and make one up out of copper brake pipe.

      Good idea ...

My problem is I have no transport & I'm miles away from any car parts shop so was hoping someone would know how to get hold of one online.

Is it easy to do & are specialist tools needed? (I'm a plumber so understand copper pipe, but have never done any care brake pipe work).

If easy, I could buy some brake pipe online .. .anyone know what size to order?

      Cheers,

      Steve
