Apologies for not getting back to you Rick, I Just wasn't sure if the 2.4 was the same or not and a 3 litre 4wd ECU takes out the uncertainty! I really haven't the time to Find out this stuff, and as my Surf is my daily driver and winter appears to be on the horizon, I may need the 4wd!

i know its too late now but from what i have seen of the 2.4 and 3.0 4wd ecu and they are the same.I can't see that there will be any difference in the 4wd system on either

Sorry to butt in here guys but have either of you got an ECU for a KZN 130.
3ltr turbo auto? I could do with one to see if it fixes my problem of high revs before changing gear. Also not getting 4th as if O/D is off and ect is on.

I know you are talking about the 4wd ecu. Is this different from the ECU in the passengers footwell?

its a different ecu,
the 4wd one fits under the dash under the radio,
where as the ecu for the engine ect sits in the nearside kick panel,

i may be able to help you also,
but please check with vagrant 2,
as he may have one first,
