    Hi, looking for a new or used snorkel for my J reg 3.0 TD Surf. Anyone got one they want to sell me ?

    Didn't think the 3.0 came about until L reg.

        Damn, I'm such an anorak!

        You'll be lucky to find a second hand one. Once fitted, they're there to stay, unless you drop lucky and find one on a breaker.

        Your options are probably either make one (cheap, but can look shoddy unless you're good with the spanners) or just stump up the £220-£240 for a Safari or TJM.

          Do you have any recommendations, or, is a snorkel a snorkel, so to speak and as long as it doesnt leak itl be ok.

            thats about it, think the safari one is slightly dearer, but it might be the other way .

              also unless you plan to be doing alot of river crossings or playing in deep water you don't really need one

                I think there both the same - around £220.

                You could hunt on ebay.com for one that might work out a bit cheaper if your really holding onto the purse strings.

                A homemade snorkel on a surf can look reeeally out of place! The TJM an safari models are made with contours to suit the body.

                Also, if you go for a snorkel fit extended Diff an gearbox breathers ... just because the engine wont flood doesn't mean everything else is safe!
