i don't know about the bushes but some people fix the cog to the drive wheel inside so it turns properly or get a 2nd hand motor which i have got 4 motors here that will fit the tailgate

      Thanks Richard

Thanks Richard for the propt reply, I will give the cog/drive wheel fix a go and see if that works, additionally my rear window only goes down with the key, not up, royal pain trying to close it some times, any suggestions - can the switch be replaced without changing the key?

        Yes.

Did mine, just be very carefull when taking the switch off the lock barrel. The plastic legs become very brittle and snap off.

get someone to operate the key and sit in the truck and listen for the relay to click. There may be a broken wire between the tailgate and the body of the truck, check that also.Does the window work ok from the switch inside aswell

              Richards post

Switch inside works fine - apart from the window only going up 1/2- 3/4 without physical help.

give the side runners a good clean and spray with a silicon grease or something similar that shout help the window go up easier.Like i said listen for the relay click when using the key to put the window up and check the wiring also. The relay is situated behind the plastic panel in the boot area on the near side so you should hear it ok
