3rd Gen chrome A Bar

Hi all

I am after a chrome A Bar for my 3rd gen surf

Have checked out various websites but they are quite hard to get for a decent price (e.g £262 cheapest so far!)

No 3rd gens on ebay either

Try Roughtracks , £200ish + the vodka and tonic for an A bar . But hurry , only 1 left in stock . I know as I spoke to them yesterday !!
No more coming into the country either due to legislation .

There is an alternative I looked into . It is a 'general' A bar which is not designed for any vehicle in particular , but may fit Surfs . I may buy one and see if I can make brackets for it . You would need the brackets from the plastic standard A bar from the 3rd gen to make it fit.
The Roughtracks one also requires the use of the plastic A bar brackets aswell .
So if you dont have the plastic A bar you are in a more difficult position .

yep i had no problem getting some rocking horse s!!!!t
but same problem in no bars available for 96 3rd gen.

if its the same chassis as colorado prada ,will the bar from that vehicle fit.?

if not has anybody got any ideas which bar is nearest fit as i have a local garage that bend and weld stainless bars so they say that they can they can modify a close fit.

There is a chance of a chrome A-Bar here but it's £282!

I have found a company who have the 3rd gen A bars @ £120 + VAT

They come with brackets and guy says i can just bolt it on....although i can't see any holes other than on smash plate

Any ideas?

I think its for the chrome/stainless part that bolts to the plastic A bar you dont have.
