As we know on 2nd gen Surfs there are 2 types of rear bumper - ok, so they look the same! But underneath there is a guide rail for the spare tyre lowering winch handle.
On vehicles fitted with narrow tyres, the winch is directly above the wheel centre and the winch handle goes through the hole in the bumper at 90° to the bumper to engage the winch mechanism.
On vehicles fitted with wider tyres (like mine) the winch is off-set to the vehicles left and the winch handle goes through the bumper at 45° to the bumper and engages the winch mechanism off to the left.
I recently bought a second hand rear bumper section (in good condition) with an inline winch handle guide and I need an off-set one.
Does anyone have a rear bumper with an off-set winch handle guide that they will either sell or swap for mine? I am wanting to fit the bumper once the new weather comes around, so if I am not sorted by mid May, I'm going to get my angle grinder out!!
Cheers
Rob
