well my current compressor still works ok - whether it would run one of those or not i dont know.... [goes off looking for compressors]
they are set to speak at 10psi each and you don't wanna stand beside them when they go off.I managed to get them off a ballast regulator before it went for s$$$$.I was thinking about putting them on mine but seeing as i'v spent so much on servicing and new turbo etc i don't think i will be able to aford a compressor to run them so i am thinking of selling them.If you want the measuements of them let me know as they are bigger than they look

I can see they are BIG! maybe I wont have room for them, i couldnt find space for an oil catch tank. No idea how much psi my weedy compressor can do though at the moment.
Just a thought, have you considered turning them backwards to keep the mud out? You'd sh!t yourself everytime you used the horn, but it might keep working

i wouldn't like to put a price on them at the mo as i never really thought about selling them till today and don't really know how much they are worth.I think postage will be a bit tho as they are fairly heavy
here's a bit of info on them
Ks 1 : E flat note - 311 Hz Part 30291

I have just had a price of £98 each for refurbs for these horns and they have sent me the details of what type of compressor you will need for running them.
you will need air supply of 7 bar ( 100psi) @ 11 ltrs per second
If you are still interested then make an offer and we'll go from there.
They will need a bit of a clean and repainting tho but condition wise they are in good nick for being on a train for a few years
this is a copy of the email i got sent from a supplier of horns to different train companies.
new prices would be .KS1..£146.85
KS2..£144.70
we can offer the refurbs ( with 1 year warranty) @ £98.00 each
ex stock
there will be a carriage charge of £15.00
therefore total cost of £211.00 + vat
you will need air supply of 7 bar ( 100psi) @ 11 ltrs per second
see attached drawing of KS1 & 2
