it's looking promising although it does not cover my exact model it does include the engine.

As log as it tells me what the max sped is I'll be OK

Hi Clive,
I have one of those books and it does cover your surf. Its the one in the middle with this description:
Owners handbook for: TOYOTA SURF 1993-2001 RZN180, VZN180, KZN180 KZN185W SERIES Engine types: 5VZ-FE(3.0), 3RZ-FE (2.7) & 1KZ-TE (3.0) (PETROL & DIESEL).
For some reason they put 93-01 on the cover!
It's a good book but it won't tell you the max speed.
