Hi, I'm in the USA, the 3.0 V-6 engine in my 95 4Runner is dead. Considering replacing it with a 1KZT diesel.
I think the 4Runner is the same as the Surf?
All the 1KZ's avail in the states are Japanese import half cuts, which have the electronic injection pump.
I'd rather have the mechanical injection, much easier to transplant.
I think the UK is the only place Toyota sold the 1KZ with a mech pump.
Looking for a source for a good pump or possibly the whole engine. And any info about swapping the pump, Is it just a bolt on swap?
I got to visit the UK for 10 days in 2004, I loved it and hope to be able to come back and visit again.
