  • Carburetor for 2.0 Runner/Pickup

I need a carb for my 2000 cc Runner . It is the same as a pick up . I can not get a re build kit for mine . A new Weber conversion is no longer available .
If it is in a breakers yard , no prob , I will go and get it if with in reasonable distance .
I can not drive my Runner anymore until fixed .

Roughtrax have them listed- if yours is a 3Y. I was going to buy one for my ex-pickup. £199.00 plus VAT.

I've got a Weber kicking around here. I dont know if it would be any good to you. I was going to put it on the Zook but I got an SU and adapted inlet manifold.

Why not do an SU conversion? SUs are less prone to starvation/flooding when going up/down steep hills. They are not as jittery when going over bumpy ground................Just a thought.
      It's only a hobby!

I thought you would have asked them first! I checked their website just before posting thinking that they would at least remove a discontinued product! It only takes 5 minutes to connect to your website server and add in the word- out of stock. I would get on to Roughtrax to source you one as they are advertising products on the internet which they know they do not sell anymore- and that`s very poor business.

          good luck!

Ok Rick I might be ( alright I am) showing how stoopid I am but must the carb be off of a toyota pick up,or where they fitted to any other make of car? I have a cunning plan!

According to helpful Toyota dealer , the carb is specific to Runner . I would have thought a pick up one with manifold would fit .

Now decided to change the whole engine for the 2.2 we got in storage . More work , but hopefully abit more power . V8 will have to wait until we move (if ever we sell my mums house).

Found out that a 32/36 Weber carb may be converted to fit . Anyone got one off a Cortina or Capri ?
