Auto box wanted for a '96 3.0 ltr, mine had the no. 17 on the casing..one with 16 was no good....too short!

also details on the alloy plate were :

30-40 LE 35000
3D 500

960 R 154 22

l have 2 box,s and they both have the same numbers on

numbers dont match, thing is I got hold of one before but it was about 4ins to short, any idea what yours came out of and some prices plz

Hi Dai mine are out off 2.4T/D,s, the only differences l can see are that on mine just but the "Hi & Lo" selector there is only 1 soleniod instead of 2 on the later models and the bellhouseing is not the same the starter space is further up on the 3litre, but l think the bellhouseings will swop. l will check this out.

Hi Dai sorry mate l did not notice before you say you have a 96 3litre SSR-G is it a late 2nd gen or early 3rd gen.
