Just one word of caution, I'd have a word with an MOT inspector before fitting them. They may contravene regulations about protruding edges on the body work. I don't know that they will, but better to know for certain before drilling holes etc.

      Good point.

However, they don't protrude beyond the edge of the vehicle. And when they are extended, they would have a better profile than the little mirror on the wing.

I was thinking about putting them just above the shoulder moulding where the pillars rise upto the roofline, so when folded in they would not protrude past that shoulder moulding.

        Rear Ladder

I have a rear ladder the same as the one in the picture for sale. Chrome with stainless fixings. No problem with access when the tailgate is down. Make me an offer.

                        Apologies

Sorry Trev, I will be available from about 1800 on Saturday. I still have the ladder, email me on kvmak@aol.com and I will send you my phone number. Just a quick thing, if you will be using the ladder for access to a roof rack, then in my opinion you would be better standing on the running boards or rear bumper.....just off to Milan now, speak to you Sat.....

                            Cheers Andy,

Trouble is, their ladders cater for the 3rd Gen more than the 2nd with the tailgate.
