Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the intercooler irrelevant to the fitment of a snorkel!

The bonnet vent is only a way of directing air to the intercooler (oil radiator) as its mounted on top of the engine instead of behind the front grill where it could be damaged when "off roading" and has nothing to do with supplying the engine/fuel system with air to work.

The purpose of the snorkel is to keep the engine supplied with clean air when the front of the car is submerged in water.

Yes, they each do different things.

It's an air-to-air intercooler by the way.

Sorry to go slightly off topic but related to wheels

How do you get on with those BFG KM2's on-road and off-road?
              Now it's time to play!

The BFG MT are a great all rounder! As good on road as the A/T and great off road!.

I am now running Insa Turbo special tracks which sound like a tube train on road, but are unstoppable off road.

Do you reckon the fuel economy of the muds is a lot worse than the ATs though (road usage)?

If they're the same then muds are the way to go. Means better off-roading, I guess.

I'd imagine they'd not last as long as ATs if mainly used on roads.

I'm definitely leaning towards the muds for sure, thanks for your comment on this, it does help.
